"...The “CitiSleeper,” a compact sleeper-sofa flanked with nightstands and bookcases, was designer/manufacturer Tinka Camfield Swetland’s answer to cramped living quarters. It converts from sofa to lounge to bed, and can be enhanced with cabinetry designed to change the bedroom area into a studio, library, home office, sewing/craft room, exercise or playroom. Thanks Naples Daily News…
For being there from the very beginning!

" That’s right, 12 years ago the newspaper sent Eric Strachan to cover a mission trip to Haiti made by a group of us folks from St Ann Church in Naples with Hope for Haiti and Food for the Poor.

I was one of those folks and always felt that “CITISLEEPER” was born in a nursery in Cite’ Soleil. You cannot experience that kind of poverty and desperate need without being driven to help. I knew I had to Þ nd a way to help those women and children.

Returning to Naples and my Designer Closet business, I set about coming up with some way to form a foundation to offer ongoing help to the poorest of the poor in this devastated country. I credit my idea for a slide away bed system and the home ofÞ ce cabinet units now known as “CITISLEEPER” to my partnership with the “Greatest Carpenter” ever…forever!

Through our stores here and in Sarasota, my husband and I have been able to support projects in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We have built wells, houses and support a shelter school for street children among other undertakings.

Our dream of a foundation comes closer to a reality as we open our first “CITISLEEPER” franchise store at 3110 Tamiami Trail N. on June 1, 2009.

Fred and I are now looking for an “Angel” to guide us through a national franchise take out.

We’re also always looking for our next God Wink!

Thanks again Naples Daily News for being there all along the way with your superior creative advertising dept. and the ongoing help of our great friend and rep. Dennis Mosby…

We couldn’t have done it without you! "
